Besides, the cost of a fast food eat out here is expensive and so why spend when you can always do the fried stuff at home for the kids?

But on our Anniversary, Lito treated us to a different eating place - Cora's. They only serve breakfast until 3pm but the meals are presented in an enticing way. My kids liked the usual breakfast stuff - bacon, eggs, waffles, toast, wraps but they also ate the different fruits that went with each meal. I forgot to take a picture of our orders because the kids grabbed the meats and breads as soon as the plates landed on our table, the original presentation was not captured. The kids finished their meals and it's unusual because we always have left overs to bring home. It was nice to have a different place to go and the price tag at the amazingly designed breakfast platters were worth it.

Anyway, one Saturday morning, I was inspired to prepare Breakfast ala Cora's and here's what I came up with. It was not as fancy as the platters but the effort made my son's appetite boost a little. They even tried the wraps with ham and egg.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwlXoxvKWJDKT7E4cQa3UzNIZKq6IgVtSkpmWLXpHx-4bh-IzYgzHuCaaInWjHkPhXYULk4fA9AurOoKTGs9lXqSdcKVJO-xv9MYoHCvPrHEYKzI_BiwjeYozosb4cw_Ch2ZpUux8Q6wo/s400/coras.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5711318272924170722" />Irmeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00769217308393373984noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6924524102070356144.post-56706443626111993362011-06-27T16:59:00.000-07:002011-06-27T17:12:51.108-07:00Hop on Hop Off city tours in TorontoMy Dad and Mom cannot go with us in the US because they have not secured a US visa yet. So while we are at Irvin and Faye's Housewarming Party, my parents will be touring around Toronto by themselves thru the Hop On Hop Off City tours. These red double decker buses are all over Toronto downtown during summer and it would be a great opportunity for my parents who are in their seniors to just ride the bus and listen to the tour guide and savor the city. It is already summer and the view at the top of the double decker is perfect.

I got this tip from our friend who availed this tour and she said that it was worth it. The tour even included a tour around the centre island and the validity of the tour is for one whole week. So you can come back anytime for the week to cover all of the spots. I just called them and the customer rep said i can avail discounts when I purchase thru the internet. It's going to be a busy week for Mama and Dadilo. Let's hop on / hop off soon....in London.. hahaha.Irmeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00769217308393373984noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6924524102070356144.post-27243094818658943882011-01-15T17:15:00.000-08:002011-01-16T13:41:18.404-08:00What to do in NY on Christmas HolidayMy family had a Christmas Holiday in New York City where my brother in law and his wife are based. It was not the best time to go because of the blizzard that came a day after we arrived so we had no choice but to stay home. We were there for almost 10 days but the 3 days spent going around the city on a cold winter was memorable. It was an unusual New York City tour. While others would have gone to 5th Avenue (and Canal Street) for sightseeing and shopping, we went on a Christmas Tree tour:

1. Explore American Museum of Natural History. The Holiday Origami Tree was decorated with folded paper ornaments. We were told that these ornaments were made by volunteers from an organization called Origami USA. Of course the kids enjoyed the dinosaurs exhibit and they were ecstatic upon seeing Dum-Dum from the movie "Night at the Museum". It was a hit among the museum spectators because the line for the photo opportunity was long. Although this was the second time Lito and I have been here, it was another adventure for us because the museum is really big and has a lot of attractions to offer. We enjoyed the video booth where you can send a video of you with the dinosaurs and send to your loved ones. After a long day, snack time would be best from the nearby Shake Shack or eating hotdogs from the famous New York food carts. I saw some families who brought sleds and did Tobogganin in Central Park. I'm sure there are lots of hills to try there.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 213px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRUMxsgA6b5v8qDOIc1Wqw8v20J9fM79iKCmvXHgszxXYmMPT2CLYnRGMD3DJVs7Z-whLB6VG1xbUiwqJznbRciKyzyH-d07MoNMudJW828GZ5HHFisZRTMdDejlqeOaMVgoM6MWo4l5s/s320/origamitree.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562898683915082210" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTfZUszrLcR_SrGOwhyphenhyphen4aR8xZb48agznmYMfWdKWIRPYllsvWlV9hpByjjmHyHPUZoQfyKg05JXKmnGguo0JAn30Ui6ef9CM-_n1MMEPgZPVx5iFm4eb9wFNBA1ndcMJyg_I4LSDxk9yk/s320/museum.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562899441240301426" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoskKWM7Q4BT-RbchnhCmlPKOLDD7YnyFxmFqYbAIgXOYVLmD9E0ml-Ge_-dKOlpnigF-laZNIpJBDl5ckgsg6Wd4GGhPuVNE8dA5sgZ6oAx9AJNfQsqGFFMfEV348KA7OAPXiwTYYBQ0/s320/dino1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562899806514078674" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 213px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAMSn-mj8e61IuYD1iayMHEAe4dJVZkBVcfPqVaUn5QbqCJRcFtIIJJeYwHdTXEadKIfSxfMwYr0JZQKiYgMsP_2u4hfdBW2G9e25uvrUUadMiaR2m2Ei6nXWW6RVNivforewCaesDj1Y/s320/dumdum.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562900625136592562" />
2. Watch the Holiday Train Show. This is a must-go-attraction on Christmas week. The New York Botanical Garden lights up Christmas trees at the garden in the Bronx borough of New York. The NYBG is best-known this time of the year for its annual holiday train show, which showcases model trains amid replicas of New York landmarks, all made of plant materials. Of course, the garden also hosts a display of lit-up fir trees.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 279px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRiS28wdTPuhVMetPyekcq0k8s7zBBs6Ssy5b_LsmEWNNbS4QmKnBzbpb7gQ_Y5J0def1yG0enjKoS5Y_4OE09v4ymQD7MwJtCnL12zGtIx0QhJtkr8kRXdEYvkHOPYQbv7WMGcS0mCQ8/s320/NYBG.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562900823973083426" />
We enjoyed the Train Puppet show and the Gingerbread house exhibit at the kids garden.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_G6WQhFl0-v4sVCSqGnXkvgOsFzTcY5rvDsO-3bFsOHgNR5qWVhdMCklNieGqK3e0MCUJXF3Xph4kG8VswgOWyQOpFn1yXxUgYRmPJecvzqDh0Dm_8wsVOXC5VbFo5D9IZfS7mwyGHiE/s320/train1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562901058157381826" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif7HHdw4WduPKSfmszm94Jl_RoVTtU14qoKVk7pkZQK3Ym1byLifGEsVVHVuv4qxKKiSwjTQNEwO_xjxdCeTPUqMcRQTZj9N9-rWx0VKs5XR4yLkXc_6T9Eaaf98bju77-kcd_3LQl6ow/s320/gingerhouse.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562901450187309442" />
3. The angel of our Christmas tree, Liberty is still the top attraction even on a chilly winter day. We just wanted to see the Statue of Liberty from Battery Park thinking that there were no boats going to the island, but we were surprised that the long queue leads to the security line going to Liberty. We decided to go the next day so that we can still go inside the museum. The kids especially Miggy were excited as we board the boat. It was fun to see her again this time with snow surrounding her.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 213px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrWB6b9Kv-Dl0hJ8vAtjUnAkGQE8QWKvip2qV8D5ajrrrQ8ATU3fD9iFmCFPLHDRKLIY6-PO8mx0_hwYK5drm1uJ3aPwlFvwoh9Z5qIcazweA-NmhAlrdyd-B5T3AHn5PSME5GNut0RVA/s320/liberty.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5562901733127063570" />
The following were part of our itinerary but we were not able to go because of time constraints. Also the kids and Faye got sick so we decided to skip this. They are still worth going to on a December trip to New York City:

4. Rockefeller Center is home to what is probably New York's most famous Christmas tree and no trip to NYC should be without it. The 22-meter-tall Norway Spruce is in the center of ice skating rink and you can't miss it. From here, you can go to Radio City Music Hall, Sixth Avenue near 50th street; St. Patrick's Cathedral, Fifth Avenue near 51st street and the Museum of Modern Art, 53rd street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Of course there are the famous buildings and stores as you walk up 5th avenue toward Central Park; Macy's, Tiffany's, FAO Schwarz Toy Store and the Apple all glass building.

5. We were given a Metropolitan Museum of Art pass and it was also a must-go destination. The Christmas tree at the MET is adorned with angels and a Nativity scene. Its colourful, lifelike figures, 15 to 51 centimeters tall, were made in 18th-century Naples and depict shepherds, townspeople, animals and the three wise men.Irmeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00769217308393373984noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6924524102070356144.post-8982113404276988592010-08-15T05:15:00.000-07:002010-08-15T05:46:59.987-07:00Taipan tours for Eastern Canada TripWe had our very first Canada bus tour last Civic Holiday weekend. The big bosses in our team treated us - 3 new employees (Specialists they say) to a hearty lunch at Moxie's Classic Grill near our office. I liked the ambience - it's cozy and the service is great (although they forgot to serve my salad, I forgot about it because I'm already full). It was a good thing that FIFA is on and we didn't get a reservation at an Italian resto because Italy is playing and they cannot assure us seats. Moxie's was a good choice. The food is superb! I ordered from the Summer Specials menu and they were teasing me about my order with rice. I liked what I ordered - Mango Chicken, right spicy and sweet taste and the avocado/salsa side matched my palate. I hope to go back there and treat my family on my first pay maybe? :)Irmeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00769217308393373984noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6924524102070356144.post-18628551790617539872010-05-17T18:19:00.000-07:002010-05-17T20:29:26.729-07:00Summer in Spring at Ontario Place<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 83px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVOyRvnXU4FBAUSO3X7di-TdPykuIjJWl9RNqJwaJOtXGF-7_V4Yk-CO6X5A8ORHhtgcth4ZP7TIaNuRxVZcu3_zQEHJapJH7yYs8UDdTbqV3l5OiSaU-h_7mlkI-uwSKMuhsFfRXmYfE/s200/_OntarioPlace.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5472446929710993522" />We had fun at Ontario Place yesterday. It was the special day for Toronto District School Board students and their families to enjoy the special discounted rates and pre-opening of the downtown theme park. Ontario Place will offically open this weekend for the Victoria Day holiday - May 22. The weather cooperated, the sun was up and shining bright. I think I had sunburn, staying mostly under the sun. The place is located on the lakeshores of Ontario Lake and the cool breeze is perfect in the hot sunny day. It feels like summer in May - perfect for those who stayed in Soak City, the water park inside Ontario Place.

The park is divided into 5 main areas - Market Place, Soak City, Adventure Island, Marina Village and The Go Zone. Other atractions included the Imax theater called Cinesphere, the Atlantis Pavilions and the World of Weather. We didn't even know where they were located because as usual our time were spent in lining up in the kids rides. The place where we had our lunch was on top of a hill overlooking the lake with lovely swans floating quietly. A nice spot for meditation and relaxation.

Going there is another story, the TTC provides 3 ways to get to Ontario Place but you need to pass by the Exhibition Place about 10-15 minutes walk before you reach the entrance to Ontario Place. We will need to go back again to explore the other parts of this fun-filled Summer destination.Irmeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00769217308393373984noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6924524102070356144.post-62585083875505278262010-04-30T15:13:00.000-07:002010-04-30T15:38:49.241-07:0019 inch LCD TVs
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 137px; height: 137px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4ePKmnmnSgswGahpzXEoBBTlBY-d_xjx1iqojQ7QL_FRgFP6Pr0BPK9TU8UoYy3hp36acua9rq4b_Jksg23nvKnm_gCMi6GEEN5UBpKStGwX4x1vQzYPMOlyoo_BzBc87i_lAnriCQfU/s320/images.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5466061006789396242" />I used to have a 21 inch LCD monitor in my computer at the office and it makes all my tasks visible and helps in my being efficient. The kids love the experience! When we went to see then, they all came and surrounded us, all hundreds of them and some made jumps like this. Amazing!

Then the Balicasag Island tour made our day, with the school of fishes surrounding our boat each time we feed them. The water is clear enough to see the corals, different shapes, colors and sizes. Too bad, we didn't had the opportunity to see them up close by snorkeling because we cannot leave the kids in the boat. The boatman says, that place is the sanctuary of fishes and corals, a must-see for tourists. I hope to be back there someday.

If you want to really enjoy your summer vacation, head to Bohol and have the experience of a lifetime. Stay in the Bohol Beach Club / Dumaluan shoreline for a quiet and clean beach front. Watch the tarsiers - smallest monkey in the world and be serenaded while having lunch in a river cruise. Of course, don't forget the Chocolate Hills, all this and many other surprises make up for the adventure of your lives.Irmeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00769217308393373984noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6924524102070356144.post-8537328784282813632010-03-30T15:43:00.000-07:002010-03-30T15:59:49.767-07:00Trendy and inexpensive eyeglasses<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 56px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5MqP2TW6-oMEQ_6kDFvB3Ol1yt4hoeVGO1rh_isRt9jjDtlHF9TBL54tljyi0uU_s399P_VlpmseLHpaWHEDi28f8SFC0GSSjts_60ZMxFq34cKDgarcxty_FFrNIm_QKObFVGh8o8V8/s200/order_thumb.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5454564688572174690" />
I came across this internet site while looking for new frames. The #1 online Rx glasses store provides a wide range of trendy frames and different types of lenses. Then I realized that this is a perfect place to live. This neighborhood in Brampton has it own place for shopping, dining, entertainment, strolling and recreation. What I love to see are the parks, trails, playground, and other recreation facilities. It even has its own skating rink during winter and a pond during summer. There will be a village square along the lines of small-town squares and a library as central gathering space that connects people at the centre of the Village.

I was dreaming having my own bakeshop or coffeeshop in the main street where it will combine live/work spaces that will be great opportunity for family businesses, retail opportunities and professional services. Homes on the main street will have garages at the back, so the streetscape is more pleasing.

But then I saw this model, I couldn't help but drool. I like the grassed courtyard where my kids can play or Lito and I can relax sitting on lounges while waiting for the barbecue. I hope we can have something like this for our own home.Irmeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00769217308393373984noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6924524102070356144.post-40344122695571457942010-02-17T18:29:00.000-08:002010-02-17T18:48:58.834-08:00Toronto tour via Citypass<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 186px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxrmXFqMfja5ibVLsC95_VCcG0GxjHtpl2s-DV5Hf-tzX_HHTIKgf74vOZ105Q0YTdPWJ3OofB_4omKN5PJC9JJ4QqdaIt_uvbFSnWZ2kOJzQnIi4xKi6_6dX6EcEZDaESMgCexMZGWs4/s320/citypass.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5439405450033003090" />When Irvin and Faye visited us last Christmas, we chose to tour them via the Citypass. It's a booklet of tickets to five Toronto attractions which only cost US$ 57.82 each adult, a whopping 50% savings compared to buying the tickets separately. The Toronto Citypass included Toronto's major attractions like the CN Tower, Casa Loma, Royal Ontario Museum, Ontario Science Center and Toronto Zoo. The CN Tower tour included the motion-ride, glass floors and the tour at the top. What's amazing is that if you are a Citypass holder, you need not line up at the ticket booths which we took advantage at the long queues in these attractions.

If you're a first time traveller or just want to see Toronto's most famous spots at discounted prices, Citypass is the way to do it. You have nine days to finish all the attractions with Citypass. Booklets also provide you with attraction information, transportation directions, best times to visit, a map, and expert advice on where to find distinctive Toronto tastes, goods, and off-beat places from the experts at National Geographic Traveler magazine. He saw some of my photos during my US trip last 2008 and he said he wants to have a picture taken in the NY and San Francisco landmarks. I also want to go back to San Francisco because I only had 6 hours to see the city. This time, I would love to see the Marin County side and avail the Mill Valley Hotel Deals.

There’s this hotel that we always stayed on while in the US and I’m sure there is a Holiday Inn California to try there. This Mill Valley Holiday Inn is surrounded by trees and bird sanctuary and there’s also a biking and jogging path to provide the guests options for physical activities while on their vacation. Last night, I found myself browsing the internet using this gadget (Before, I only use it to listen to music, reading an ebook, watch a movie or play games) and I was amazed. The Safari browser is different from the Explorer or Firefox which I am used to and gliding through the soft screen is exciting. The windows appear as another page and they move from one side to another as if moving sheets of paper. The Top sites feature of the Safari 4 browser displays the thumbnails of recently visited sites. I found this tip from a free articles directory where there are lots of articles submitted. The articles are listed in different categories and my favorite is Technology and computers which is a popular subject.

Well, I think I am still an IPod novice. While most of the gadget-hungry yuppies and youth went gaga over the chic MP3 players and sleek MacBook Air years ago, it’s only now that I am into it. Thanks to ITunes and other strategies to promote the IPod, Apple has tremendously reached that status with the trendy products and I guess I’m also hooked. One article submitted in web world articles explained what Apple really undertook to promote IPod. Now, Apple’s IPod is a huge success and the rest is history.Irmeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00769217308393373984noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6924524102070356144.post-6744318994204779112010-01-16T21:55:00.000-08:002010-01-17T07:43:23.589-08:00Sightseeing in Canada - Niagara FallsThe first thing that comes to your mind when you hear of Canada is the Niagara Falls. I've seen the majestic Falls both from the US and the Canada side and I would say the Falls really looked better from the Canada side. From Toronto, there are tours going to Niagara and there are also cheaper bus going to the Fallsview Casino. While in Niagara, you can choose from the following different tours:

1. Maid of the Mist - This is an exhilarating boat ride to the base of the majestic Horsehoe Falls. Get ready to get wet.

2. Journey Behind the Falls - Here you will be behind the heart of Niagara and stand in the mist where the mighty Horseshoe Falls tumbles from 13 storeys above.

3. Niagara-on-the-lake - This is a tour to the 18th-century town. Here you will enjoy the historic charm of Niagara-on-the-lake.

4. Butterfly Conservatory

Or just enjoy the day in Niagara Falls on your own terms. Explore Niagara Falls in your way and your own pace. When we went there last summer, we just walked in the park and bask under the sun while listening to the rapids and watching the amazing Niagara Falls.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5KZDommt073DTNFMsWeWDzNUCrNTECjtPRMeMiujTgUpVvwojrJzUt0FGyffv9yCxduPCwXNI-Yeh0sr4R5qpYuVY3VVWM39PfgjB19z7FveJBsFWpTHM-OWyMjvuSmTirq-DMqi0EBs/s320/Journey+2007.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427589602405827570" />

So on your next visit to Canada, make sure to include this in your itinerary.Irmeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00769217308393373984noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6924524102070356144.post-76958499390967053762009-12-03T11:57:00.001-08:002009-12-03T11:57:51.550-08:00Start Here at Yonge-Dundas SquareIt's the heart of Toronto Downtown. Yonge-Dundas Square is in the middle of everything and it's also where the action is. When we first set foot in the downtown area, this is our first stop. The subway stations (Dundas and Yonge-Bloor exchange) is right under it. It's comparable to Times Square of New York City with all the lights and billboards. This is the place where the stage is set. Free concerts, outdoor movies, weekend artisan market and some of the city's biggest festivals.

When you just want to relax and watch the city rush by, take a seat here and savor the moment. The kids can play in the water fountains. So when you head to Sabang for the UNDERGROUND RIVER tour, don't forget to check out Daluyon Resort, an overnight stay will not be enough to enjoy the island.Irmeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00769217308393373984noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6924524102070356144.post-14350157541519016802009-08-06T11:38:00.000-07:002009-08-09T12:13:09.231-07:00My Wensha Spa ExperienceMy sister Wendy treated me and my mom, as my send off gift to a full body massage at Wensha Spa. My last day in the Philippines was spent entirely in this place, it is a 24-hour spa and the Full Body massage treatment that we availed comes with an "eat-all-you-can" buffet (Filipino and Hot pot style). The 680-pesos value of the massage is so "sulit" I wonder if I could find the same treat in Canada...haha.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 187px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnrCUTWjqAfy9tUacUieAp8mtBZnO_CItg-rjGu53a2u_WIqOCgdSDr-ZMx1UWMhyITub05_uQklUdHUVkQEARjjh1dTX5cPN4r21q2rA0Tz49f36I5krl4W0Cv23_mia4JVLOjg4Jnu0/s320/wensha_spa.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5368044031209590418" />WENSHA SPA in CCP Complex
We arrived a little after lunch so after checking in, we changed to our robes, put our things on our lockers and started our late lunch. We were seated near the big screen and we watched the Cory funeral/procession while we were having our meal. The viands are okay I only remember the Caldereta dish and the Pancit so it must have been good. The wet floors area has a very big screen too so while we dip in the hot bath, we can still watch the Cory funeral. Oh by the way, the difference here and the The Spa, is you have to take it all off, well being bare is nothing to me( at least in an all girls area of the spa), since I have given birth to 3 boys already.

After a few minutes at the jacuzzi, we went inside the steam sauna and stayed for at least 10 minutes, the mist is refreshing. The Dry Sauna is worth trying but I dared not because I can alrady feel the heat near the drinking water station beside it. The maximum no of hours you can stay in Wensha is up to 6 hours so we spent at least 2 hours here, then one hour massage, then one hour rest (I overslept while having manicure and pedicure >> I availed this for additional P180 each) then 2 hours eating hahaha. The Massage area is enclosed in different rooms, we chose one that can accomodate 3 persons. There is also a large common area for bigger groups (at least 10 in the upper room). According to the Massage Therapist (Glory is good being hard), the massage style is a combination of Swedish and Shiatsu but whatever that is, It felt good and I really felt relaxed and relieved of the pains and lamig lamig. I highly recommend Wensha Spa, imagine after eating, the relaxation treatment starts at the wet floors, then the massage, then you can eat again, then addtional treatments like footspa, scrubs, manicure or pedicure then eat again, then before you go, you can have free use of the kikay items like lotions, powders and a new set of toothbrush. Those I have mentioned, were not available in other spas that I know of. If you are stressed, need to relax or looking for a value for money Spa- WENSHA SPA is it...you have to try it to believe what I'm saying...I bet lots of Wensha goers will agree...The next time I go back to the Philippines, I will definitely head to the CCP Complex in Boom na Boom and have a Wensha Spa treatment.Irmeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00769217308393373984noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6924524102070356144.post-58225908805525626292009-05-07T07:20:00.000-07:002009-05-08T09:23:31.964-07:00How to get to Caramoan<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0NRN5yAVMEsBSLjG357TzCNYai3EH3RttNtF-qRoizxhuRZ0pSLHcQehF3ptyizwcNqknDxkEvcKn6P19KmLmxnKy2zm_FAL35NsfyBhdIFxzYP0bvhFAyy_pgJ-z3PB2oT87trHvziU/s320/4148_116570166320_541606320_3027633_1031136_n.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5333488192260931858" />
It's been three weeks and I couldn't get over our Caramoan experience. I want to encourage my readers to include the "Boracay and Palawan in one" paradise on the Bicol side of the archipelago in their next quest for fun and adventure. Going there is already an adventure, from Manila, one may opt to take the 8-hour bus ride (Bus companies like Isarog, Peñafrancia, Raymond and Philtranco in Cubao Terminal offers trips bound to Naga - aircondition buses PHP 500-550, or take the plane, PAL, Cebu Pacific and Zest Air fly through this route. We availed the Cebu Pac's seat-all-you-can promo and we had a one hour flight, good thing we had an early morning flight so we didn't experience Cebu Pac's famous delays. From Naga Airport, there are vans waiting there to take you straight to Sabang Port but we took the cheaper alternative and looked for tricycle that will take us to van terminal going to Sabang. Tricycle fare costs 45-50 pesos per person. At Naga City terminal, take the aircon van going to Sabang and get ready to cruise for a 2hour drive. Fare is 90 pesos per person. In Sabang port, ride the motorized boat going to Guijalo Pier, Caramoan, fare is 120 pesos per person, trips starts at 7AM, 9AM and 11AM only. Expect a combination of rough and smooth sailing. We were too excited we didn't care for the bumps we experienced. At lunch time, we arrived in Guijalo port, tricycles can take you to Centro where the lodging houses are or straight to Paniman Bay. If you are staying in Rex Inn, they have a shuttle that picks up guests at Guijalo pier. It was a 10-15 minute trip going to Centro and half hour going to Paniman. In Paniman Bay, the take off point of boats going to the Caramoan Islands, you may opt to stay at La Playa or Tinago Inn. The ride going to Paniman was bumpy because some roads are not yet concrete. It was a long and adventurous way going to "the Paradise of Bicol" but it was all worth it. Maybe later, when the government of Cam Sur or Survivor producers discover easier and shorter route going to Caramoan, many people will flock to this peninsula but for now, tourists have no option but to take the mala-survivor challenge of going there.Irmeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00769217308393373984noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6924524102070356144.post-77919041942384102009-04-28T09:57:00.000-07:002009-04-28T09:58:36.481-07:00My Disclosure PolicyThis policy is valid from 28 April 2009

This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me. Good thing our tricycle driver turned guide brought us to Lutong Bahay, we were engorged after a full meal. Lutong Bahay is where tourists of Caramoan dine, it's well known for 'lutong bahay' (home-cooked) fare. The place is small and simple, it's like a 'turo-turo' (local cafeteria) here in Manila but they serve delicious Bikolano dishes. I ordered Porkchop Steak and Laing and ordered a packed dish for dinner - Pork Adobo. Since it's home-cooked, nothing fancy. The pork dishes were so-so, but I really like the Laing. Cost per meal is around 65 pesos for the meat and veggie meal with 1 cup of rice. You will not miss this eatery in Centro, Caramoan, it has a big sign in front.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgs-mAh7od1ewIVKTYQitEa0y9PfMOOp0sPyv7r0hAFD1zoh-3H8jZHwNOnS8f2VC82cYGzOYBzp1OvWBb_AhfwMmm8T3F07ebhQA-rpvBrMAX5uss0zI4HMGegBrXc3xsyKuQUOnhXWo/s320/DSC01738.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5329760652417492754" />Irmeehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00769217308393373984noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6924524102070356144.post-9774835242770358752009-04-15T16:09:00.000-07:002009-05-16T17:24:57.716-07:00Easter Sunday Breakfast @ Bag of BeansWe had an Easter Sunday celebration in Tagaytay and had breakfast at Bag of Beans. Since we're early, we had the place to ourselves and we enjoyed the nice ambiance and serenity of the place. This breakfast nook is set in an open garden with trees that keeps the place cool. The tables are strategically located, there are long tables for families, coffee tables for twosome, corners for those who wants to have a breakfast meeting. It has a talking 'mynah' bird at the center which my kids enjoyed talking to. We ordered their famous freshly baked raisin bread, pancakes, the breakfast platter and cups of freshly brewed 'kapeng barako' (coffee)>>their specialty. Although they are known for their coffee and breakfast, they also serve lunch and dinner. I was told their fruit shakes are must-try but I was too full to try. Bag of Beans customers have grown and it was about time they opened the other end for an expansion to accommodate more. We had great photo opportunities here and as usual Kyle taking his own shots.
<img style="display:block;
